Ask Me A Question
Years i have been racing: 1
What got me started in racing: As an injured veteran living with PTSD, the last 5 years have been an incredible struggle and between the many, many doctor and specialists appointment and treatments, it was a struggle to enjoy many things I use to before. I’ve always loved stock car racing and cars have been the one thing that seemed to take my mind off of everything else. When I heard the Sydney Speedway was reopening I thought this is my chance to get back out doing something healthy that I’m passionate about. Not only did stock car racing keep me busy during the winter, building the car, but it has gotten me out of the house and socializing at the track which is something I have struggled to do living with PTSD. There is a lot of pain and trauma under the helmet of the #58 car, but being out on the track is part of my recovery and it’s been making smile more than I have in a very long time.
My most memorable racing moment: Placing 3rd in my very first year race ever. Happened at Scotia Speedworld.
My worst racing moment: DNF at Petty due to overheating.
My most embarrassing racing moment: Spinning at Scotia Speedworld
My hobbies are: Working on my 1958 Chevrolet Delray hotrod, helping injured veterans when they are medically released from the Canadian Forces and helping them transition to civilian life through Veterans For Healing, camping and spending time with my life partner Michelle Sharpe who is always there supporting me and pushing me to make my dreams become a reality.
